Week 6: Radio and Television. What was your favorite radio or television show from your childhood? What was the program about and who was in it? In the month of December, Mom would tune in a serial on the radio called the Cinnamon Bear. The radio show was originally from 1937 and told the tale of a brother and sister trying to find their missing Christmas tree star in Maybeland with the help of a stuffed bear that came to life. I do not remember the station Mom found the radio show on but I remember her tuning it in each year. I also remember the whole family sitting down to watch Wild Kingdom and then The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights. Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom was all about animals from all over the world. Disney had documentaries, cartoons and and educational shows.
