Family History Expo Mesa January January 18, 2013 1:00 pm - January 19, 2013

Now is the time to register for the Family History Expo in Mesa, Arizona.  Yes, it is in January - but if you register now you can take advantage of the Early Bird Pricing.  The Early Bird price is $59 for both days and is valid until November 27th, 2012.  Pricing for the event after November 27th will be $79.00 for both days or $55 for either Friday or Saturday, or $99 at the door.   I am happy to announce that I will once again be an official blogger for the event.  I will share information with you as it comes available including the speakers and vendors for the event. Watch out Mesa I am on my way tomorrow! I am packing a bag and I thought I would share some of my favorite things to bring to a conference. Business cards - both for my business and my blog Pre-printed return address labels - save time entering drawings and filling out forms Camera Laptop RootsMagic to go USB stick Water bottle Cooler with drinks and lunch/dinner/snack options Pad of paper Pens, pencils, highlighter Questions for Ask the Pros Don't forget to bring your family history book to be scanned.  FamilySearch will scan your book and give you a digital copy on a flash drive they will provide. Family History Expo Mesa Arizona

Looks like we will soon have information on the Family History Expo in Mesa that will take place January 20-21, 2012 at the Mesa Convention Center.  I encourage everyone to attend.  The event brings classes on skill building, professional research assistance, new technology, vendors, networking opportunities and loads of fun. This is an event that will allow you to meet people with similar interests.  I urge you to meet your fellow Expo attendees, after all genealogists are the friendliest people in the world.  Networking through the last three expo's I have had the privilege of meeting fellow  Geneabloggers , researchers experienced in locations that I research and  Bruce Buzbee who straightened out one of my RootsMagic files that I had somehow messed up. It looks like the Early Bird rate will be $75 if paid prior to November 30, 2011.   That is a bargain price of less than $40 a day.  The event is all day F...
