Skibbe Family Farm Wilhelm and Julia (nee Panzer) Skibbe are my great-grandparents on my mother's side of the family tree.  They lived in Chicago for a while after arriving from Lauenburg, Germany.  Wilhelm was naturalized on 26 Mar 1897 in Chicago.    Later they moved to Indiana, near North Judson to farm.   Julia Ann was born on 28 May 1864.  She died on 9 Jun 1916 from arsenic poisoning, she also suffered from Bright's disease.  Wilhelm was born 12 Sep 1957.  He was naturalized on 26 Mar 1897 in Chicago. Wilhelm died on 10 Jan 1838 of apoplexy.  They are buried at the North Judson Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Wadislaw J. Mikolajczak, aka Walter.  Burial on July 2, 1947 at the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Block 4 Lot 102.  Walter was the seventh child of  Maciej and Stanslawa Mikolajczak.  Funeral records indicate that Walter was single and his last known address was 3001 South 7th Street.  At this point in time I have located Walter in the Wisconsin 1905 Census and the 1910 Federal Census. Walter's siblings were:  Antonia 1888-1957, Stanislaw 1890-1931 , Jozef 1891-?, Bronislawa 1893 -?, Michal 1896-?,  Emily 1901-?. Stanislaw is my husband's great-grandfather on his mother's side.

Grand Aunt Nellie Lapearl (Clark) Tipsword and her husband Edward R. Tipsword.  Grand Aunts Nellie and her sister Jennie married two of  the Tipsword brothers.  Nellie married Edward, Jennie married John.  Nellie and Edward along with John and Jennie are buried at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Beecher City, Effingham, Illinois.

Bruce Wyman Clark, 7 May 1933 - 7 Oct 1968, my beloved Uncle.  Bruce is buried in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, Christian County, Illinois.  I have blogged about Bruce before, he was murdered.  On October 7, 1968 sometime between the hours of 4:20 and 5:00 A.M. in Blue Mound, Macon, Illinois, Bruce   Wyman   Clark, age 35, was shot and killed at the Fina Gas Station.   Sheriff's   Deputies were called to the scene at 5:19 A.M.  His killer was arrested in 2009, 41 years after the fact.  The murder trial will begin on November the Monday after Thanksgiving.  I hope to be posting while attending the trial.  I am looking forward to visiting Illinois and seeing my relatives; I'm not overly thrilled about the trial process.  I am looking forward to the outcome of the trial.  I hope my family finds the peace the so desperately deserve.  I only wish my grandparents were still alive to see justice being served. Morris Durbin Saint Bonaventure Church Cemetery Saint Elmo, Fayette, Illinois

Jenny L. and John H. Tipsword Spring Hill Cemetery Beecher City, Illinois Jenny (Clark) Tipsword is my Grandaunt.  She was a sister to my Grandfather Otis Elmer Clark.  Jenny married John H. Tipsword.  They had seven children Maude M., Lewis C.,  Jack,  Gladys, Robert, John and Dorothy.  

Henry Poundstone, my second Great-Granduncle, born 3 May 1840 in Bowling Green, Licking County, Ohio.  He died 15 Nov 1915 Young America, Cass County, Indiana.  Henry is buried in the Center United Brethren Church Cemetery in Young America, Cass, Indiana.

This is the headstone of Elizabeth Poundstone Hyman (my 2nd Great-Grandaunt) and her husband Lewis Hyman.  There are buried at the Center United Brethren Church Cemetery, in Deer Creek, Cass County, Indiana.  My 2nd Great-Grandfather, Richard Poundstone, was the only sibling of Elizabeth's to leave Cass County, Indiana.  Henry, George, Caroline (Zeck), Phillip, Elizabeth (Hyman) and Delilah all remained in the area.

Great Aunt Ann and Great Uncle Edward Skibbe.  They married when Ed was 41 and Anne 46.  They had no children.  They are buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth, Marshall, Indiana.

Great-Grandfather and Great-Grandmother, Charles Clark 1870-1943 and Mary Elizabeth Durbin Clark 1861-1949.  Family lore tells the story of Mary Elizabeth Durbin being attacked and raped by boys on the neighboring farm.  She bore a child, refused to marry either of the boys, but gave the child their last name.  She was never ashamed of what happened and spoke out about it when her family tried to hush her up.  She fell in love with Great-Grandfather and they eloped against her parents wishes.  Charles was 18 and Mary Elizabeth 26 when they married - unheard off and another scandal for the Durbin's.  Charles and Mary were blessed with seven children, and together they raised her first son.  My father remembers Mary always wore boots and loved to go out side and play with her grandchildren.  He said she would place tag in those boots and always tagged her fair share during play.

Charles Henry Clark and Mary Elizabeth Durbin Clark.  They are buried at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery located in Saint Elmo, Fayette County, Illinois.  My father fondly remembers his Grandma Mary.  He said she always wore boots and played with all of her grandchildren, chasing them around the yard.  Mary Elizabeth Durbin was older than her husband Charles Henry Clark.  They married when Charles was 18 and Elizabeth was 26, a first marriage for both.   A topic suggested by  Geneabloggers  for a daily blogging theme for Tuesday's.  

Ruth Skibbe, my grandaunt,  died early in life in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.   Ruth was engaged to marry Walter Lemke of North Judson, Indiana.  Burial in Saint Paul's Lutheran Cemetery also known as the Denham German Lutheran Cemetery in Denham, Pulaski, Indiana.
