Grandma and Grandpa Urman's tax return copies - 1949 and 1951




These were found among Grandma's estate papers - Grandpa made good money back then!

How interesting to find these. It looks like he nearly doubled his income from 1949 to 1950. It seemsm like financial records are much less available than other records. We don't see things like this posted very often by geneabloggers. Did your grandmother save other tax returns?

He was a machinist and then became a foreman - hence the monetary change. These are the only tax records found amoung Grandma's papers. The SSN also changed from 1949 and 1951.
